SemesterQuest plans are billed annually. When you upgrade, you are charged for the full year upfront. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand.

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you gain instant access to the new plan’s features. If you downgrade, you keep access to your current plan until the billing period ends. Any classes or items that exceed the new plan’s limits will be archived (not deleted) once the downgrade takes effect.

We accept all major credit and debit cards through our payment processor, Stripe. For enterprise and district purchases, we also support invoicing and purchase orders.

We do not offer refunds for paid subscriptions. Every new account starts with 14 days of full Standard access — no credit card required — so you can confirm SemesterQuest is the right fit for your classroom before you ever pay. If you have concerns about your subscription, please reach out to our support team.

When your 14-day Standard access ends, you have 14 more days to subscribe and keep everything exactly as you set it up — your classes, students, items, badges, and history all stay intact. After that 28-day window (14-day trial + 14-day grace period), inactive accounts are erased so we can keep SemesterQuest fast and reliable for every teacher using it. The same applies if a paid subscription lapses: subscribe within 14 days and pick up right where you left off.
